Barbecue and Mulled Wine "Angrillen und Abpunschen" 2026
On the 30th of April it was finally time for this years „Angrillen und Abpunschen“, our event in spring with barbecue and mulled wine. This time, we even had a lot of sunshine and warm whether. For the extra portion of fun and movement, we even played some rounds of Cucumbiball. We are already looking forward to the „Abgrillen and Anpunschen“ in autumn.
Field trip to DESY
On April 28th we visited the DESY in Hamburg with a large group of students. Several phd. Students showed us around the grounds of the research institution, where we had some insight in the ongoing research conducted at DESY. In addition to the active research, we were also able to visit the tunnel of the Hera accelerator, which has been out of service for some years. The tunnel showed impressively how large the institution actually is.
Since the trip was booked out so quickly and we received a lot of positive feedback, it will probably not have been the last time we visited DESY with you.
Summer barbecue
For the first time since time was recorded, we had good weather at our summer barbecue on 03.07. And you could tell by the number of participants! We provided you with barbecue food and drinks and played a round or two of Wurstiball - er, Flunkyball - with you in the beautiful sunshine.
Summer-GameING
On 27.06 we organized the summer version of our big LAN party, the GameING. This time, in keeping with the season, it was labeled Couch-GameING and featured pure console action with Mario Kart, Smash and co - and a mountain of board games. We had a lot of fun again and hope to see you at our GameING in winter in good old LAN style.
nerdBar at the 2025 summer festival
The TUHH summer festival took place on June 18, and of course we were there again with the summer festival version of our nerdBar. With great weather, a good atmosphere and beautiful hats, we provided you with plenty of cocktails throughout the day and thus gave you a much-needed cool down. In addition to all our classics, the much-anticipated „Dirty Stormtrooper“ and the „R2D2“ - two absolute summer festival staples - made their comeback.
Battle of the Student Councils
Since we won again last year, we hosted the Battle of the Student Councils again on June 4 - an annual tournament of mini-games to determine who is the toughest student council (besides ET/IT). As well as a flunkyball tournament and eager bottle cap flicking, this time we kicked off a giant scavenger hunt with the house table, followed by one of our nerdBar-inspired cocktail mixing competitions. Victory was snatched this time by VT.
See you next year when we reclaim the title - and the brick!
Ragecage-Tournament
On 16.05 we organized our first big Ragecage-Tournament and it was a great success! 24 teams spent a sweaty evening playing the best Ragecage of their lives to bring home rum and honor for their friends. At the same time, casual round after casual round took place in the multi-purpose rooms. MB provided their world-famous fries and with great music, good drinks and a great atmosphere we were able to experience a fantastic evening with you. We had a blast and hope you did too! See you next year when we go back to the cage.
